She will kill me if she sees this picture but it is her holding her baby when he was just a few hours old. At least I posted one of her after she slept for a bit and showered. Jane is a friend of mine from work and one of those people who came along and has been an example and a strength to me. Her mom fought a 4 year battle with cancer that took her life last August. Jane found out a couple months before her mom passed away that she was pregnant and because of her mom's state of mind Jane never was able to tell her. Facing the death of her mom and finding out that she was going to be a mom herself was hard for Jane. She moved back in with her parents before loosing her mom to be able to spend time with her and help her dad. Jane is a single mom and has chosen to raise her baby alone. She spent the last several months working hard, saving for, and preparing things for her baby. Since she found out she was going to be a mom her baby is all she has thought of. She instantly changed her lifestyle when she found out she was pregnant and became selfless. Her mom would be so proud of her and all the things she has done. Jane never thought of what the next day would bring she lived life day to day. She liked to have a good time and I think baby Carter actually saved her life. She was such a trooper when in labor too. She did not want to take anything that may effect the baby and she was in so much pain and was sooo sick. (no one should ever have to throw up while in labor) After 24 long hours and no sleep Carter came into this world. Seeing him take his first breath was such an honor and blessing for me. I am thankful for having a friend who has been such an example of strength and sacrifice.
Carter Russell March 10 5:20 a.m. 6 pounds 6 ounces
Seeing Carter come into this world has also made me excited to be the mom of a daughter having a baby.........

and you got to be there? that is very cool.
Yes I was there and it was such an honor. She is not a member and her sister lives in California. Her sister got in the car and drove 10 hours to be there. She had her 2 kids and they were asleep so I stayed in case they woke.
